Yeah, well it looks great to me too.

Did you build the chassis or adapt one from something else? I've got an old box trailer that has a totally rusted tub, but the chassis appears to be useable and it has a 4" tube axle with early Holden axles, so I was thinking of modifying it to fit under the ute.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!

I'm going to be using a ute chassis and bolting up the same way as factory....with the body mount rubbers. I was going to make a chassis, but its less stuffing around. Factory springs so the position of the axle is spot on. If you go to a company that makes trailer parts, they have kits for axles. It around $500 for a 1400kg axle, with disc brakes, brake lines and hq stud pattern. Most road authorities want to see a receipt for the suspension system.....so said axle and brake kit will get it registered for you. That said, in Vic, anything under 3500kg doesnt need an engineers certificate

Thanks mate! If you want to do the same, just get this attachment and the router bit.....and make sure you have some patience, takes a while to do And you have to have a dust mask....MDF dust is evil. An air gun is also recommended, helps clear the dust while you're milling the excess away

Cut and most edges sanded. Weather was getting on the cold side so i'll prime it tomorrow. That'll take a few coats and some sanding.....then its ready to mount

Ah, now it makes sense. I thought it was staying on the complete board. This the reason I stated the black should have been Dremeled away.

I reckon you should knock up a bunch of them and sell them on here. I reckon I'd buy one for the garage.
