I'm getting a day ticket for saturday.
Pay at the front ticket office, and be back by 6pm and some money gets refunded.
That's MY plan.

Well im to far away to go but will be glued to the tv cant wait to see 150 xu1s on the mountain before the main race should be quite a spectacle

I will be there. My camp is along the side of the road that comes up the hill to the top camping ground with all the nutters and drunks. We are just near the secrity guys at the top.

The crowd werent happy that a Japanese Manufacturer won the race instead of a Commodore or Ford, will be interesting from nest year with the reintroduction of Nissan and Mercedes Benz??

There was a massive rainstorm 18 laps short of the finish. A heap of cars crashed (including "that fella's" Skyline GTR) and the race was called off. The results were calculated based on the leaders position 2 laps earlier to allow more crashed cars to be placed. In effect, this meant that a crashed undriveable car (and a Nissan at that) won the race and the Lion/Oval brigade didn't like that much and booed Richards and Skaife as they came to the podium.

I have hated Skaife and Richards ever since. They thought they were god beating V8 Commodores and Falcons with AWD turbo charged cars. Smarmy is how I have always pictured Skaife since.
