    HJ heater/fan motor

Hi guys, i have just rebuilt my 2spd heater/fan motor and when bench tested i noticed the yellow wire when on low speed is getting pretty hot, just want to know if this is normal? The high speed is ok and the orange wire doesnt get hot. I'm wondering if this might be normal as the yellow wire looks to be a different material maybe to absorb heat for the low speed resistance. Any feedback would be good.

There is a orange wire and a yellow wire in a plug with a seperate black earth wire. The yellow wire has a funny rubber feel to it with one single wire in it. Thats the one that gets hot, i'm tipping it's supposed to get hot being made out of a different cover, but not sure.

Yes their are 3 wires in early heaters orange, yellow(resistance wire) and black earth. My dads HZ caught on fire in the heater box as the rearstate is in the black plasitc box near the heater fan, this gets really hot and lots of leaf litter will cause this if left unchecked, later wb heaters dont have the rearstat in the heater box.
On my wb i connected the orange wire to a battery and it seemed to run high speed and the yellow low speed, must be a bit different to early heater fans?
