OK, bored. Thought I'd get some discussion going. Here is some trivia questions mostly around Sandman, but some general HQ-WB and some other thrown in amongst. Hopefully they are all new questions! Good luck!
1. When will you find 27 (as in ADR27) on a Sandman's ID ADR plate? Answer: 2/74 or 3/74 to 9/74 HQ Sandman. HJ commercials never had ADR27 compliance, but for some reason HQ commercials did. I don't have a 2/74 HQ ADR plate to see if 27 started in February or March. I have January and these don't have 27 and March does.
2. What 3 x different GMH vehicles are represented by the XX7 special vehicle package code? Answer (by playwme): HQ-10/75 HJ Sandman, 10/75 HJ - HZ Sandman with passenger tyres and Gemini Gypsy.
3. What was option XU3 used for before it was re-used to replace XX7 at the end of 1975? Answer: Neutral Headlining. In HG, LC, HQ, and LJ (by 83 WB_ute)
4. What 3 x 1st gear ratios did an aussie 4spd M20 gearbox exist in? Answer (by Gunna Do and V6van): 2.54:1, 3.05:1 and 3.74:1.
5. What is the correct Quadrajet carby number for a 1977 HZ L31 M21 Sandman? Answer: 17057294. Lots of 1978 HZ 308's will have this same carb, as will some 1977 HX 308.
6. When on a HZ Sandman will you find an EGR valve factory fitted? Answer (by Gunna Do): Auto (M40 or M41)
