    Tyre shine

Interested in hearing reccommendations for a particular tyre shine , I do use a cheap one from Supercheap about $3 a can but doesnt last long get what you pay for I guess, some others I have used in the past are quite wet and residue ends up on the body of the car, just curious as their are a lot out their to choose from.

I USUALLY use the foam one. A bit dearer, but isn't as sticky.
I remember using Kitten tyre black as a kid, on the old man's FC, HJ Statesman, HZ Ute, WB Statesman & WB Tonner.
Used to sit there with a paint brush and paint it on. Took forever but also lasted ages.

i used kitten tyre black too and i think i still have some ,i also used black shoe polish because it was a more natural look . If i bought tyres with white lettering on them i made sure they were fitted with the white lettering on the inside .....hated that look then ,still hate it today

I'm with you! Hate white lettering. Looks about as tough as fake bikie gear in a gay parade!

I've never been a fan of any tyre black. I always stipulate NO TYRE BLACK when I get a car washed or detailed. Just a bit of spray like WD40 or the like and wipe it off does me.
