HJ GTS dash Repainting...

Over the weekend i finally got a chance to repaint my uncut HJ dash (It had the silver removed)..
Only problem is i had it in my head that these were painted silver then masked and painted black...
I have had the correct masks cut with masking material ( from the guy on eBay tat sells the dash stickers).
I plastic primed it and then painted it Portland grey . It looks good.

My question is. Have i done this ass about?

I think i should of masked the whole dash and just painted the silver..

Now to find a black that will look good.. I was thinking a satern black would look good..

Any advice appreciated

I just painted crash pad, console,arm rest and a seat in satin. way too glossy. go flat black i reckon

That is the correct way Vanman, paint silver, then mask and paint the black. I hope you wet sanded the silver areas before painting otherwise the mask will pull off the silver paint. The correct colour is Dulon Suede Black... a flat black.
