Installing genuine radio

I want to install the original radio into my HX ute. Can someone tell me if there was a facia at the front of the radio or was it directly to the dash facia?

my mate is doing one in his HX at the moment. straight into existing facia i think

the radio goes in behind the fascia, only way itll go in, then theres 2 locking nuts that go behind the adjustment knobs

the radio goes in first then the fascia ,there is no separate radio fascia just the dash fascia
