Gas on, you seem to have a real problem with people restoring their vans back to factory original.... get over it... we don't critisize you for having gts flutes on your HZ or truckers girly mudflaps so don't critisize others about how they want their vans.

A question was asked and people answered.... it was relevent.... that is how threads evolve sometimes....

You could not order a HX or HZ Sandman from the factory with GTS guards.... it's as simple as that.. no if's, but's or maybe's. As Jason said you may have been able to have them dealer fitted at extra cost depending on the dealer.

Sandman's were a special vehicle package and as such had limited options available.

Hey all... Bringing new life to old cars & bikes is an excellent hobby / passion of mine. Not too much more I enjoy than ringing up a few good mates, getting a few blocks of W.E.D + drinks for the girls, firing up the BBQs & getting greasy, burning arm hair, skinning knuckles, grit in the eyes & mouth, sparks flyin', welder humming, compressor cycling, music pumping, joking, laughing and so on whilst the girls catch up and do whatever they do? (Hehe, tho your welcome in the shed Jennie It's an awesome social thing to me. Not an obsession.

There are many on here that are interested in restoring their Sandmans back to as close to factory original as they can and frankly your attitude towards this group is getting rather tiresome.
