    whats the trick to the steering lock?, ive never been game enought to try bust it in one of my cars, there so easy to get into its not funny, early commies are even easier to get into again, lucky for the steering lock otherwise you might as well leave the door unlocked ans the keys in the ignition to save them causing the above damage

    Same here with breaking in.. I have never needed to until now, but I spose I have learnt a new skill now.. lol

    i have about 150 keys in a tin that i have collected over the years for holdens for fe upwards....

    there is always a key in there that works.

    its a good idea to start collecting keys..

    Yep 1 in 12 chance of it working. We have done that one with our vehicles... i.e. just got the other keys and eventually one got us in. Although we have used the packing tape a fair few times as well. People just think its normal - two people using packing tape to get into a vehicle!

    Steering lock isn't hard, but it won't work again :P

    I broke in to my old commodore with a tent peg. Scratched it a bit but it was just a cheap shitter for work.

    its a damn site easier to just push the back window in..especially if you dont have any packing tape.just takes a bit of time to put the window back in.

    On my wagon you could push the back window down, locked or not, the lock just disconected the handle from winding.
    learnt this trick after using the packing tape a couple of times.

    Yeah have to agree. A hq-wb ute is realistically unlockable due to the rear window design.
