Please don't query the postage.
Ok , I won't. I'll query the price though. Why wouldn't you offer free insured postage for that price? You come off as being greedy and a wanker by putting that kind of thing in your ads.
Same guy had a NOS HQ nose cone that sold for $900.....hes not shy on getting what he can for his listed items
i have had a set of nos caps in my cupboard for over 20 years because i was always too scared to put them on in case they got stolen
those caps are worth every cent of the money he is asking..1 year only die cast caps....pure rocking horse shit.
--- Updated ---
why does he have to offer anything free?...he has something that is extremely rare and he wants that figure for them....doesnt make him greedy nor a wanker....your comments make you look a bit envious that he has the balls to ask top dollar.
If people are paying that then good on him I spose. It still blows my mind though. I didn't pay much more than that for most of my cars. Makes me wonder what sort of vehicles they're going on though and whether the restoration costs are completely outweighing the completed value. It's obviously a circle of car enthusiasts I'm not used to.
my hq gts350 is insured at 85k...market at the moment is still in the 70k range to take it to a shannons auction from what they tell me...as an early gts those caps are correct for my coupe...i do have a set on it but they are fair..if i was keeping the car i would certainly pay that much for a nos set as long as they were perfect in every way...obviously because of my business i do move in that circle of enthusiasts where price is not an option for the correct parts...the single headlight nose cone he has is also priced correctly for nos...the parts may not be priced to everyones budget but thats the difference between a rich car enthusiast and a poor one....as for restoration costs outweighing the value of the vehicle...a true car enthusiast does not restore his car for profit.he/she restores it for passion and cost does not come into it..this is what seperates the rich from the poor and the boys/girls from the men/women..

Totally agree
We paid a lot for nos mudflaps, but the proof was in the pudding when they were fitted to our red van, they lined up, no grinding just went on like they should. The price you pay for genuine, and if you need it and it is an integral part of your rebuild, we just found we bought it. Maybe one day when Rodney and and I are starving we will sell one so we can eat. But ATM we love restoring a part of history and bugger the consequences Jb
