    Motorcycle gear

Ordered the bike, will be here next week.

Also organised jacket, pants and Helmet. Found a bike shop in Melbourne that sells styff real cheap with free delivery.

Just have to organise gloves and some boots.

Boots have me buggered, I was looking for some dort of dual purpose boot that I can comfortably wear on the street and also for the occasional fire trail ride, and are also easy and fast to put on and take off and I can also walk normally in eg go to the shops. Anyone have any ideas? MX boots are way too big, road boots look like a moulded gumboot.

Is this the right sort of thing? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Mens-...item2c6669e1f0

I wouldn't buy them sight unseen, just the style for reference.

Or am I better off with this sort of thing:

The Gaerne Adventure boots look the best bet. You want a bit of shin support and protection if you're doing fire trails and whatever trails the fire trails lead you too. A good pair of off road boots will be comfy enough to wear all day and walk around in. I've got a pair of Alpinestar Tech 6's that are extremely easy to wear.

Those Gaerne look good. Those Rossi don't. Gaerne are a well respected brand.
I use Alpinestar tech 7. Great boot.
BMW are making an adventure style boot now as well. Probably expensive though.

If you are talking road bike gear, I found that if you are in Melbourne, waddle into Mars Leather(been there for years, corner of Elizabeth st & Little Lonsdale street) and get some duds and a jacket made to fit. They can also alter garments if you expand or contract sizes for whatever reason. Best cash I ever spent.

I'd go the gearne myself! Are they available anywhere in Oz ??
I ran Alpinestar tech 8s off road. I also had my pants tailor made by Walden Miller in SA. Mole skin with cushioned ass pad and kevlar Very comfy and fit well.
Look them up I'm sure if you sent your measurements they could make you some.
