Are Eastern Auto Upholsterers still going?

Does anyone know if Eastern are still going?
I received an interior off them a while ago and they sent me a panel van hoodlining instead of a ute so I called them and they said they'd swap it so I sent the van one back but that was ages ago and I have been trying to call and just keep getting the answering machine.
I know they have usually been difficult to contact but I have been trying for what seems like ages so was wondering if they'd closed?
Sorry for the long winded post, does anyone know if they've closed?
    Thanks, Cameron.
Nah, I'm just driving around looking for someone with licence.

They are aweful about answering the phone Cameron, we waited months for our door trims for the yellow van, and since he was doing Yellow van's got him to also do the red van so we didn't have to wait..they eventually arrived and he actually rang me back after I left an angry message on his machine about 3 times....their product was so good that after looking elsewhere for the ute door trims, decided to go back to him, and order them, plus carpet for ute, and a hoodlining for the red van...amazingly it was delivered in under 3 weeks. I would doubt they are closed as they have the GMH original tooling for those door trims for HZ witht he chome insert....and that is what they pride themselves on...I might ring him next week since I need a piece of hoodlining to repair a little issue on the red van....I will check with him about your hoodlining, he may even get cracking if he thinks people are talking.....

Thanks, thay makes sense he might think people are talking. I agree that the quality is so good it leaves us with little alternative.
I ordered the interior about 6 months ago and if the delivery was correct the timing would have been just right. I am peeved because it is holding me up now, that's all.

Would Eastern do HQ door trims to suit Sandman as well?

They are Belmont, in a van, and as such are the same as HQ SS's. So if you want them in black it's ok. When I asked someone about them thet said they could do chestnut but I would have to supply the material.

Paul from HQSS may of seen examples and know whats ok.

Sorry for quoting you even after you told me not to but what makes you think they've closed?

Not sure on the Easterns thing But I think the trim side of things may have come up before.
The SS and Sandman door trims will be different.
SS trims were were made with Roebuck and by the time the Sandmans came out they were using Roadrunner.
So I would think that's what they would be made from.
    Cheers Paul.

^^Correct. 1973 saw the change from the HT Holden's Roebuck to Roadrunner (I think this may also be called Caribou).
