v8 exhaust fitting from 1 ton ute to van

Is the exhaust from a V8 1 ton ute the same as a panel van as there is a full system on ebay cheap and I want to run a system to get a road worthy etc or is the back floor pan and rails different.

I could be wrong however believe the one tonners had a slightly longer wheelbase over the utes and vans.

A lot of tonners that I've seen have the tips exit a lot higher due to there being no bumper that it has to sit under. Ground clearance on the tonner at the back is generally much higher than van or ute, and the slightly longer wheelbase of the tonner means the rear hanger might not line up.

If its really cheap though, a couple of small mods would make it work.

tonners are longer but i reckon youd get away with it, if its only for a roady youd make it work anyway, itd be the same up to the back of doors, i reckon itd be pretty close, might have to adjust the mounts

Tonners wheelbase is 3,058mm compared to ute/van being 2,895mm. These are WB specs but assume they're the same as earlier models.

The difference in length is behind the cabin, so you'll just have to extend the pipe(s), otherwise it'll probably foul on the diff.

I bought a twin system off ebay from a tonner and it fitted onto my HQ styleside without to much fiddling. It came with foot long extensions for the tonner. These were thrown out and it was fairly simple to mount it up.
