Fitting Holden Air Cleaner to Holley Two Barrel Carby

I am contemplating modifying a standard Holden air cleaner to fit the larger two barrel Holley air inlet. Has anyone out there done this and will I encounter any problems such as fouling the accelerator linkages or the bonnet. I may go back to an original carburettor one day but I am keen to keep the Holley at this stage but still have the engine bay look mostly original.

I am pretty sure that the standard air cleaner base used with the 4barrel (quadrajet) is the same size as the holley.

Did that to a race car years ago, needs a little bit of cutting to make the four barrel air cleaner base round like the holley carb top.
