Later 1978 QT prefixed 308

Saw this on Ebay. Might suit someone with a July-Sep 1978 HZ L31 Sandman. Number will be around QT97-98xxxx. It is a TH pattern but this can be fixed easily on this era engine if you need a 4spd. Looks like it might have most of its original bits on it too like carb, heads etc.

Here is another, but it is probably a restamp. That engine number suits early 1977 HX. And it is a 4spd block. But the cast date is 3M4 so it is from a late 1974-early 1975 HJ. My guess is the number is QT62xxxx which could be right with that cast date.

Agree, I didn't see that. BUT if it is the original engine for a HJ GTS or a Sandman you could put 8 x sleeves in it.

Resleeving the block for a street car would be fine and if you were the owner of the car for that block you would do it. I wouldn't go drag racing with it.
