    Model 80180 V8 Sandman?

Is it possible for a genuine HQ Sandman to have an id tag stating model number 80180 (Belmont 6 cylinder) yet be stamped with engine option L31 and Trans M21? I would have thought a V8 Sandman would have a V8 Belmont model number is 80280?
