Just picked up the 308 from Norwest Engine Centre, now its time to put it back together.

Not a whole lot, everything cleaned, heads to suit unleaded, flat top pistons, everything balanced.

The 308 has been painted, but waht colour is the oil pump meant to be? Black, Silver or Red?

Red. You are doing it too neat! You are supposed to wait until the engine is all together and use some cardboard to cover the alloy bits and spray hell for leather! All bolts onto red surfaces like rockers, sump etc were all red, as was half the flywheel/flexplate. They were pretty rough.

Haha Byron that is what we did with a spray can and made sure we got overspray on some bits so it looked genuine ;)

The van is progressing well, we have got the body back on the chassis with all four wheels back on the ground and the spare room is full of the interior.
Yes the steering wheel isn't a holden one, it is a spare for my sundowner, the GTS wheel is out of shot.
