hi guys sorry for the noobie questions but i really do need help with this one; I'm about to start painting next monday and im using candy colours with a silver base with silver blackouts etc
how many coats of clear should i use to finish off?
can i mix the clear coat into the paint?

can i mix the clear coat into the paint? No, candy is some thing that only a candy pro should handle as you will get streaks and dark spot from over lapping gun strokes and doubling up on edges

sounds like your a betting man, i wouldnt touch candy/metallics mate. leave it to the pros. maybs start with the solids. whites etc. first timer with metallic is likely to end in tears.

my mate is a qualified painter of 8-10 years and he cant paint candy.

my advice - do the prep and pay someone to throw the colour and clear down

yeah i have a mate whose a pro and he's willing to do it for a carton of piss so its all good and thanks for the research tips i found them use full
