He is an absolute legend in every way in building performance car's. His name will live forever in his creation's.
"Proud To Be An Old Fart".
RIP
Great man with great tastes, I love Cobra, Daytona and my favourite car of all time the Mustang!
Yep an icon of US muscle cars gone. He made the fastest hire cars of all time. Shame you can't still go to Hertz and rent them.
R.I.P
Another legend gone but his tale will live on..
Dont know him and dont like mustang!!!
He truly was a legend. Farmer who put the v8 in british built cobra and took on the world. Then as Peter Brock did many years later, built a proper drivers version of production cars to great success. Shelby mustangs are a great thing. The hertz Shelby mustangs were a way of getting around some rules of the day in regards to racing. Imagine going down to budget rent a car today and hiring and racing a more or less full on track car and then taking it back on Monday.
