Hi all,
Pulled my old tank out today as it hasn't ran on fuel for years and the fuel was off and not pumping through. I am replacing the sender unit and will follow Geoff's advice regarding the "O" Ring.
What I would like to know is what is correct in regards to the pipe on top of the tank?
As you can see in the image below the old tank has a larger hole and my replacement one has a smaller hole (seems to be a plastic or rubber insert)
Appreciate your help (btw) any advice on the process of putting the tank back in.... It looks tricky ?

The pipe is part of the pollution charcoal canister, it collects fumes from the tank.
Small plastic peice is the liquid seperater which stops liquid fuel getting to the charcoal ,only fumes

It probably came off the old when then when I removed the hose ?, or its still stuck in the hose.
