You could cover up some pretty shonky radio cut outs with one of those as well. Think I might have to get one of each... silver and black.

Hey Mate
send me an email at mmccardle@telstra.com
I will send you the bank details.
cheers
Mick
I got an original radio of a mate and it came with a woodgrain finish plate just like the ones your selling
Bloody paint......
Armed with Micks paint code for the dash I went down to my paint shop and no go... because it is an interior colour they had the code but not the formula. So plenty of running around and I finally found out Motorama have a paint and refinish shop... success... they have the formula on file .... Oh no... they don't have enough staff on Saturday to mix the paint for me... I was the only person at the counter the whole time so that's a strange one.. now I have to go down during the week to get the paint mixed.
Thought I'd take the formula back to my paint shop..... no good.... different brand of paint and the formula tint codes mean nothing to them...
and people wonder why getting their parts restored costs so much... 20% is the actual material cost and 80% is the "getting f**ked around factor"...

Scored a nice original unmolested black HX fascia today complete with radio infill panel. Damn shame to chop it up but it will be perfect to repair the black HJ GTS fascia I have. I am going to see if I can keep the GTS one black without having to paint it... only problem is this is also a USA made fascia so the plastic may not match in colour shade.
The interesting thing is that so many complain about the Rare Spares reproduction fascia's and how the switch cutouts stand out in them..... have a look at how the switch cutout stands out in this OEM fascia and maybe the Rares ones aren't so bad.

The repro ones stick out twice as far mate. Not only the switch sections but many other sections that shouldnt. Like where the screw holes are for the GTS clock. Have a look at a repro facia at the front where the clock goes. This is just one of the issues.

Geez, didn't realise they were that bad as I've only seen pics of them. Might have to check one out next time I'm down at Harrisons. I don't like repro stuff anyway unless I absolutely have to use it, I'd rather pay more to restore original parts.
Have you noticed the drop in the prices of HK to HQ GTS dashes and the rise in cost for HJ to HZ GTS dashes???
Check this one out, white needle HJ by the looks.
