Turned out to be a damn WB V8 ute! I'll look at it this weekend when i'm up that way just in case it is a real pearler.
Also picked up a complete, rust free HQ-HZ tonner today for next to nothing. Just needs a battery, even has 4 x new tyres on it. Father in law saw the scrappys at a property near him and rescued it for me. I missed the HK sedan and Statesman that were there too unfortunately but the tonner has been rescued. No idea what series it is or if it is a 6cyl or V8 but I don't care either!
