Not really. If you are going to put time and effort into a car you want to use what you like and will be the best one to have in the end. Which means to me a ute, and more specifically and if I am lucky a HQ ute. I always thought I'd want a HQ ute in Saffron, Sunburst or Aquamarine or something like that. But after seeing that HQ van in Azure Blue I am conflicted! After witnessing colour photos of the Ewe't in silver it also has me partial to Sable or possibly the Ewe't's (yuk - how do you spell that correctly!) colour.
Im a bit of a yellow fan for a hq ute maybe absinth or chrome yellow not that i would own a hq just not my cup of tea

My van is Cognac but I'm a bit of a fan of Orchid.

Not even that. It was only available from HZ release until the end of June 1978. I'd say it wasn't a very popular colour in the day as I have 12 recorded and 10 of these are 1977 build, which if that trend holds for all Valencia HZ's it would explain why it was dropped 4 months before the new 11/78 colour chart. Maybe people were just becoming more conservatove late in the 70's, the whole 11/78 A632 colour chart is rather dull when compared to all others from the 70's? Panama, Jasmine and Flamenco are the only brighter colours left available and even those are a bit dull compared to similar colours available a few years earlier. Maybe they were cutting back on the use of Lead?
Maybe every one got over having cars the same colour as PMG trucks? Strange though cause Papaya was still around in VH Commodores. They did a country dealer special VH. Papaya orange, 4.2 and 4 speed. They had a stripe with Papaya logo on it.
