    HQ 308 Ute

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1974-Hold...item3f16ec1bf3

Nice HQ Ute. If this is indeed the origional paint it is worth the 15K. Pity they stuffed with it but it all looks reversable.

Wonder what the mat (??) in the rear cargo is hiding. Looks like they raided a HJ GTS for the seats and console.

If this was a benchy or buckets with an auto then the dash should of had the cutout for the selection indicator.

Having that numberplate would indicate it is a vary late HQ one of the last, providing that is its original number plate. I can't identify HQ sandmans but someone may be able to...very nice tidy old girl...

May be right, but if the original plates that were on my 3/75 ute (first registered 6/75 - number begins with HGV, still in my possession) are anything to go on - maybe not. Might have been an ex-demo or similar and sold as a used vehicle perhaps?

It's got a Nsw police number which often happens when the block is decked. number disappears, owner does nothing till rego inspection time and then police issue it with a number.

I think the P at the end designates a police number. First letter gives the state (N,Q,V, etc)

It is a NSW Police issued number from 1982.
