Geez mate that won't be a cheap project, are the HZ ones Rares do that bad? HJ and HX fascia's are really needed.
I wonder what what people who buy a repro HZ fascia do about the RTS decal on it, do they just stick it on the raised section or fit the moulded piece from an original dash over it?

Yes mate not at all cheap. But it is needed. Rares dashes are OK in my opinion. If I had the choice I would redo a genuine second hand good facia than use one though.
I brought 2 of them a while back (year or two) and returned them both. I wasn't happy with the amount of shrinking there was on the front from the welding and pulling from the back. Like where the switches go etc. But otherwise they look ok. I guess Im fussy.
HX and HJ ones are badly needed. Not necessary to do silver because anyone can paint that on if they want it bad enough. But the raised section for the RTS badge is a pain.
Warning lights need to be sorted out also. Supply them with a handful and fit your own. They are easy to fit if the backing supports haven't been melted on yet.
If you use a Rares facia you will need the RTS dash badge mount. But i believe Mick may have these sorted soon which is great.

Yes so he tells me. Im sure he will let you know more.
I have been toying with the idea of making some different decals for them Like "sandman" or similar.
I currently do a decal to stick in to make them look new again. But Mick tells me he is going to do them complete with the metal style decal. So should be good for HZ owners.

Yes, these will be getting made.. They are probably a couple of months off, but them and the one for the LX are being done at the same time..
These will be redone as per original complete with the chrome edge around the border. When I get a sample I will post up the pictures..
cheers
Mick
Bought mine for $2 from a swap meet. They were everywhere. Hardly deems worth it.
