    WB Tonner Master Cylinder / Brakes

    I know, Its not a Sandman, or even a 'van, but you guys seem to know a whole whack of stuff so I thaught Id try my luck here.

    Have recently purchased a WB Tonner. The brakes seem to be dragging - when I jack the front up, I can barely turn the wheels.

    Looking at other WB M/C's the one I have is different. For start, it is fully aluminium, and only has 2 outlets and no electrical connection.
    Im assuming one of the lines coming out of the MC goes to the rear brakes, and the other goes into a T junction and then to the front brakes.

    The only markings I can see on the MC are "AB 14 8" as a cast number on the side.

    Anyone able to Identify this MC or have any advice on what direction I should head in regards to this bad boy?

    Put a photo up of the cylinder. Sounds like a HQ-HZ master cylinder to me.

    That's not a wb one. Wb had plastic reservoir. That's an earlier one.

    It is a HZ cylinder, back reservoir is for the front brakes. The T-junction is not factory either, and should be a proportional valve setup to go with that cylinder. Go talk to a brake specialist is my advice.

    OK Thanks.

    Managed to score a WB Tonner booster and MC on ebay, might put them on and if that doesnt work take it to a brake joint.

    Would lack of proportining valve cause the brakes to drag, or is it adjusted wrong?

    Could also be the 30 something year old callipers need some attention, i was having the same problem and it was caused by the pistons in the calipers being stiff and not retracting properly
