Picked up a nice little period accessory for the HZ's the other day.

Ok, little might not have been the right choice of word.

77 Millard. Has a little bit of water damage in the internal sheeting and the silicone fairy has been busy on it. It should be Aluminium framed so stripping off the outer sheeting and doing a few minor repairs and improvements (like insulation and LED 12 volt lighting) shouldn't be too hard. Has all the original stove and fridge still in there but wouldn't mind fitting a shower unit and kids bunks where the bed currently is and then a Click-Clack lounge as parents bed. Just have to try and do it all in a way that still looks a bit 70's. Then it's a matter of figuring out which car to set up as a tow car. Sandman for when it's just 2 of us but will need the GTS, Statesman or Premier wagon for when it's the whole family.

Even had all the original paperwork which is how I know it's a '77.

I'll swap you for the Yellow Sandman if you want Jen.

All stylish greens and browns inside. Have to pick up the original sink and table on Monday.

Looks pretty awsome.. We have a really old one here at home that is being used to store stuff, I think its from the mid to late 50's.. It is pretty much rooted, but would be awsome to restore and have a EH or an EK towing it.. I'll try and get some pics..
    Cheers,
    Matt

If you look close the bed frame is there, just doesn't have a mattress on it. It's at the back of the van with the bed running east-west. We're thinking of putting 2 bunks right at the back and a shower unit behind those wooden banister looking things. That should allow for a solid door into the bunk section so kids can sleep but couch area can still be used. In the 3rd pic near the window at the front there are currently 2 bunks. The top one lifts up so you can use the bottom as more couch space. That bit will get a bit of a rearrangement with the click clack lounge to form the double bed. Have to find some nice bright green velvet to cover the new lounge bits with. We want to use it for off grid camping hence the inclusion of the shower/toilet unit. Have to stick a couple batteries under the floor too to run 12 volt lighting/tv and try to hide a couple solar panels somewhere.

I'm tempted to make it match the HZ GTS. Palais white with the black/brown pinstripes and the tartan inserts on the seats. Flamenco red Sandman with Flamenco red Caravan might be a bit too out there.

The one i saw matched a mandarin red HX 4 door.....had the matching blackouts and the GTS decals...and matching interior..ie-same trim style as the sedan....i was seriously blown away. It looked like a pretty big project to complete too and wouldve taken a fair bit dollars to do it. I'll keep searching for the pics... theyre not on google and i think it was for sale on eBay. If i remember correctly, it was around the 60K mark. I'll post em up if i find them
