Malachite with vibrant gold pearl stripes or even pin striping.... Good combo. What about interior? Go light tan with that colour.
Gilmer gear? Might have to cut a small hole in the bonnet too to show a peak of chrome.
Looks like the Majestics love of mods rubbed off on the weekend.
P.S.... I have been thinking wide rubber too.

Great stuff Rod, I like your thinking on this one! And after two immaculatly restored Sandman's why wouldn't you want to do something a little different?

Maybe you could hit up Rusty for some fibreglass add ons, he is making up a mean L88 bonnet scoop that would look great on it!

Wide rubber on the back, lowered, will look tough as.

My thoughts would be along the lines of improving on original. Find a late model fuel injected 5.7 holden v8 and a tremec or whatever is good manual box.

What about envy for a name? Might already be used I suppose?

Rod, I reckon restore the body to as per original, in original colour - don't stuff with it. Leave it DL7 to make it look cleaner.

THEN fit either a GenIV 6.0L and 4L65E box (don't bother with 6spd manual, too much butchering of the body). The standard TH400 shifter will operate the box and no tunnel mods are required. Even go to the trouuble of fitting a Black's Racks steering rack conversion so you can run all the GenIV accessories including A/C compressor in the original spot.

Go silly on the inside, do whatever you choose. Even just make it Caprice if that is what you want.

Fat rubber looks cool, but I would get rims that allow the tyres to sit inside the gaurds. You'd have rubbing problems with the way they sit on the yellow one with suspension travel.

It's long name but how about "Third times a charm" being green you could give it an Irish/Shamrock/Leprechaun theme.

How much space is there on the inside

Might want to look at getting anLS1 with 6speed (Complete car) would drive great
About 15mm clearance from spring and inner guard

Didn't take it for drive but would of been ok because that van has had the lip on the guard folded up against the inner guard and the travel distance to the stop would been about the same as the travel distance to the tyre maybe the stop would have to lowered 10 to 20 mm for safety[COLOR="Silver"]

or reading this from wilky on Sandman comics, there are some cool ones in there

This is a list of characters appearing in The Sandman comic book, published by DC Comics' Vertigo imprint. This page discusses not only events which occur in The Sandman (1989–1994), but also some occurring in spinoffs of The Sandman (such as The Dreaming (1996–2001) and Lucifer (1999–2007)) and in earlier stories that The Sandman was based on. These stories occur in the DC Universe, but are generally tangential to the mainstream DC stories.

i would go for the Pro touring mods with original paint and original trim. you can get 442 HP 383 strokers from the states, NEW for $7500 delivered to sydney.

yes 15 x 10's are too hard even at 5 inch backspace.

    15 x 9's will work....

has it got 11C trim code?
