    Just call it Mal.

    And put a Malibu board graphic on the tailgate. Or a painting of Waikiki with a Malibu in it.

    Did a google search on (malachite panel van) to try and help van name ideas and the first thing that come up was working out design for malachite hz van my sandman .com.au so all the good information is in this thread according to google

    I did purchase a 308 motor about a year ago form the engine number can anyone tell if it is holden bel housing chev I think it maybe engine no. Is VT 442710

    VT prefix is VB-VK commodore so should be trimatic pattern as far as I know.

    After such a busy year last year with Rodney building a motel for a customer, we have finally found some time to concentrate our our Malachite van.
    This time we are doing an off the chassis rebuild, and powder coating the chassis.




    thankfully not much rust in this one, and all parts needed are together ready
    HZ Jasmine Yellow Windowless Sandman, now being driven everywhere and is finished!
    HZ Madeira Red Windowless sandman now Sold to Bigrob
    HX Mandarin Red Sandman Ute finished, and club registered
    1979 HZ malachite windowless van with 308 5spd, all chromed up and shiny finished and named "The Player"

    Good to see the whip ready to be cracked, any particular reason your going with powder coating on the chassis I can recommend the PORS products for chassis and gives a hard durable finish not sure how you will go long term with the powder coating it obviously wont be exposed to sunlight but chipping and peeling could be a problem down the track

    I thought I had better show you our latest pics, We have been collecting bling for 2 years, and sandman production is in full swing again. The chassis has been powder coated and is being picked up from Orange, the brakes have all been reconditioned and being collected from Orange as well.
