Sandman / Kingswood Bumper

Hi all.

I am a new user and trying to be a new owner of a Sandman. I have been following this site for some time now and have found it really useful.

I think I have found an original Sandman but a couple of things have put doubt in my mind.

From my very limited knowledge the numbers seem right but the rear bumper has got me worried. Maybe it was fitted / changed after?

I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and comment.

rear bumper is no big deal, be off a sedan or wagon, id sy it is, because its 8wm, seat 2 and a lower gvm, the gvm mighten be low enought, dunno tho, have a read of the detailed identification page and see if itelps, you need to talk to [MENTION=225]HK1837[/MENTION]; hes the bloke to see, sorry for any spelling bloody phone has a mind of its own

It is definitely a HZ Sandman (or at least the tags were/are off one). Rear bar will just be a Premier wagon or possibly HZ Kingswood SL wagon. Easily removed and replaced with original bumperettes.

Thanks Byron! I was just about to write to you. I'm going to have a look at it today. There is a bit of rust in one door sill and surface rust around the roof and below the windscreen. In that sort of condition what sort of price should I go to? I know there is not much to work with there sorry.

make sure chassis rail matches ID tag, chassis rail should be BHZ10347A

$10-$15k give or take.

I would think around 20k as everything is there. The expensive stuff. Interior looks good (big bucks can be spent retrimming), gts mirrors, no wheels but the ones are worth as much as a set of restored gts rims.

Windowless, nice colour, 308, manual, black interior, aircon

If you are just left with minor body and a nice fresh respay you would be getting a rally nice van for under 30k.
