I looked a bit harder and while I can't see that much what I can see makes me stick to my $10-$15k. If it was a HQ or HJ then maybe a lot (HQ) or bit (HJ) higher, but a nice HZ in that build configuration needing at least some rust repairs and some paint, non original driveline, a few things to fix like getting rid of the rear bar (easy I know but still work) can quickly turn into $5-10k. Looking the goods again it might be worth $25k, it'd have to be damn good to get $30k in today's market. They do look really schmik in red though, and being a 308 with factory air, who knows?
Have a look under the bumper, very likely they are covering a dent in the beaver, or am I just being suspicious....that is what yellow van had...
HZ Jasmine Yellow Windowless Sandman, now being driven everywhere and is finished!
HZ Madeira Red Windowless sandman now Sold to Bigrob
HX Mandarin Red Sandman Ute finished, and club registered
1979 HZ malachite windowless van with 308 5spd, all chromed up and shiny finished and named "The Player"
Married to RodneyHZ253
Flamenco Red, Slate Black with a 308. Cant go wrong there.
Pretty sure this was for sale or sold in the past 18 months. I remember cause it's plates are same spec and same month as mine, and about 200 chassis' after mine.
Sorry to say it was sold while I was away. I was just about to get it taken down for roadworthy quote too! Still looking though. If anyone knows of a half decent or better van for sale I'd love to hear about it. Cheers.
That sux..
I know! Not happy. It was difficult to get time where I could meet the guy and have a look. Someone did pretty well I reckon.
Next Time Jamies....
Might just be a better one out there.... just around the corner.
from memory that one had cancer through the roof turret and drivers side rear roof gutter?? and the nose cone looked as though it had been bogged/flushed up with the fenders. Im sure it was on the market 1-2 yrs ago

hahah funny my bro has a HQ wagon rear bar covering a truck load of rust in the beaver... surprisingly its the only rust he has in his van. mind you he dips the rear end in the salt at least once a week
