    Carpet...

    Hi guys,

I am looking at flooring in the very near future (missus keeps complaining about her feet burning on the floor because the exhaust runs that side), I have looked at two places called Knox auto carpets and tru-fit. Has anyone dealt with them before and are they any good?

I am after getting plush or super plush in a dark red, grey or black with sound deadening underlay (I think that is bitumen in-between two layers of felt). Oh it's for the WB.

Preferences and any better suggestions very welcome. :D

Oh ok, they seem to work out to be about the same price, about $280. One of them does moulded floor mats and carpeted kick panels also I might go with them if they are about the same.

Mate of mine got a carpet set for his WB ute off ebay a couple weeks ago. Pretty sure it was the trufit ones and cost him about $170 to his door.

I used tru-fit in mine only because it was a brand I knew that was available and good quality back when I was twirling spanners for a living. They also had a perfect match colour/pile match for my Chestnut interior.

(edit): They were even good enough to sew the original GM carpet part number tag (that I sent down to them) into the correct seam of the new ute carpet they made-up for me when I asked them.

Call them, I found them very easy to deal with this time last year.

$280 must be the price you pay when your local retailer adds 100% markup.

    Trufit.
Had this in both my Holden van and XB coupe. I used an older style underlay. That brown horse hair looking stuff. Extremely hard to get now, if at all.

Sounds like tru-fit might be te way to go ;)

Myles, I am ready as soon as you are. Probably save on freight at least. I am still not sure what colour to get though. -.- What do you think black with a dark red/maroon everything except dash facia is what I was thinking?

I did a little quote up using the website. That was including sound deadening underfelt but I might come at them with that price and see what they can do ;D
