    full width rear bars

evening all, been to the chromers this arvo and had a chat to him, got talking about cutting down my wb stato rear bar to length for the ute, he said the the spare tyre handle wont be able to be used any more once ive fitted the bar, i have been thinking about it, thought about hinging the whole bar but that seems like a lot of work just for the winch handle, anyone know for sure, i was hoping it would be behind or next to the number plate and could keep the sedan number plate flap to get access to the hole??

Put a HJ - HZ sedan rear bar on as they have the flip down number plate.

Just put your number plate on a hinge and use a magnet to stop it flapping. Drill a hole through the bar to suit behind the plate.

yes byron, i know you dont like them, i thought about typing the first half of this sentence in i agree with you if it was a sandman, but my ute is like the dog you find on the side of the road, bit of a bitsa, but the best bitsa from everything

If it is a bitza then maybe try something different, like make something yourself and chrome it? Maybe hang it off the towbar mounts like an SR5 Hilux?

nah its not that much of a bitsa, homemade bumpers never look right, but i spose thats becasue itll never look like a sedan/wagon bumper, i think ill mount it off the tailgate hinges and make up some brackets to bolt to the original mounts on the side where the bumpets bolt on
