    Engine mounts

So, I've pulled the v6 out of my van, and I'm wondering if the engine mounts on the chassis have been changed. I've had a bit of a search, but can't seem to find a definitive pic that shows the standard mounts. I'm assuming they should be similar to Torana ones, which they aren't.

If someone could chuck a pic up of the factory mounts, it would be greatly appreciated. I'll get a pic of my ones this arvo.

    Cheers

Do you mean the part of the mount that's welded to the chassis?

    Try this photo. http://gallery.oldholden.com/d/338951-2/P1030837.JPG

There is then a separate mount attached to this via a bolt through the hole.

Are you planning on putting a V8 back in? What are you going to do with the V6 conversion parts?

Thanks mate, that pic confirms what I thought. The mounts have been changed.
Which leads to another question. I have a spare Torana k-frame here, am I correct in thinking the mounts are the same and can be cut off the Torana k-frame and welded onto the WB chassis? Being a Torana nut all these years has fucked me over when it comes to "big" Holdens.

Yep, EFI v8 going into it. Dunno what I'm doing with the v6 conversion stuff yet. Sorry, V6HQ, the chassis has been notched to fit the air-con compressor, so I don't have that.

Just get an old HQ-WB sedan/wagon/coupe set of rails and cut the mounts off them. You should be able to get a set off a smashed car for scrap value. Take them home, do all measurements and cut them off, then weld them on.
