    Platesporrters - Web media

A group called Platespotters are putting together a webTV show hosted by two TV personalities.
I've seen the pilot show, it's best described as two middle aged blokes driving around Australia talking to people about their cars and personalized plates.

They need a Van to purchase.

They are calling out for Sandman (and non) owners who have personalised plates to share their stories on camera. From what I have seen it's funny and a look at real Australia.

First starting in Sydney, so only NSW people at the moment then we'll ask for more after that.

Byron should tell his story about how he came to unite his 2 monaros with their plates. That story is fantastic!

It is not about ID plates, it is about personalised number plates.

I've got RB 3128 on my van because my girlfriend that I partnered for her to do her debut 2 cars prior to Jennie purchased these plate for my ek ute .so these plates have been one one of our vehicle since about 1979-1980 and are now back on our sandman van that I owned when I first took Jennie to the drive in.

I'am not sure there is much of a story in that

I cringe every time I have to pass RTA money for another year of hanging my plates on my car. The first set I got for the HQ ute is OLUOOT and got them before introduction of a yearly fee. The Monaro got OLQOOP (being a two door), the HQ Wagon got WA66IN and the Panno sports PAN074. We wanted OLROOT, but decided that dear old Mum mightn't approve. She gets a bit sensitive about such things....
