Rare Sandman metal ink stamp blocks

Not sure on the history behind these, bought off ebay many years ago. Look like they are laser or cnc cut ? Nailed onto 19mm ply wood blocks. Assumed they are used with ink for stamping ? 1.5 times the size of a packet of matches.

Gmh used to send out original advertising blocks to dealers so they could make there own print advertising back in the day.... I have a heap of these but none later than HG era.... If you ever saw any old 60's country newspaper ads for holdens the ads look very rudimentary.... Its because The local newspaper/local holden dealer used these types of stamps to produce the ad
