Help with HJ Sandman panelvan identification

Hi everyone, i need some help in identifiying a panelvan i'm looking at buying if its a Sandman.

Firstly the van is virtually rusted away but want it if its a sandman.

On first visual, its Aquarius blue in colour, has a GTS dash, 308v8 and 4 speed, salsbury diff. But missing steering wheel, has a twin headlight front and No GTS gaurds. I cant see any toothed end piece for the hood lining as it has had a timber paneling put in the length of the roof.

Anway the tags are as follows,

    Big tag model HJ 8wm70
    Body 192 304-A
    Trim 1914-19v
    Paint 568-17778
    Build date 5/76
    Small tag has 8m70TFJ524133J
Has a gvw of 2200 and 2 seats
    L31 M21 gu4

Any help would be much appreciated
    Thanks Mark

Hi is this the one on Just Autos ? it could be. It should have GTS guards, HK1837 is the man to ask. Look for centre console brackets door lights

Jesus, looks to be a bit of a wreck. Save your money and buy one with a better body would be my advice. It'll cost you less in the long run.

Running gear sounds like one, but if it is it'll be a very rare late HJ XU3. These are not common at all. It'll have console mounts and full headlining attachment pieces if it is. It sounds more like a HJ Ambulance though with twin nose, normal guards, GTS dash and 308 M21.

Not in HJ. Premier, LS and Statesman with the adjustable mirror, rest except for cab chassis were optional (option D33). The standard mirrors for Belmont/Holden/Kingswood mirrors are the same except for cab chassis. They all have the RH mirror and (state dependant) they either get the LH mirror or it is optional (by HJ the LH one may have been mandatory, can't remember).
