Hi guys, just wondering if anybody HAS or knows someone that can get hold of a new or aftermarket HJ top bearing for the steering column? Rare spares only have the bottom.

Any bearing shop should be able to get them I would think. Pull it out and either get the number off it or measure the dimensions. I half recall the bearing being part of the upper pot and not really replaceable, but I could be confusing it with something else I've heard somewhere about a different model of car.

they are very hard to get out without breaking the pot just replace the pot with a good second hand one there should be plenty out there maybe try oz

Ive got the old one out, u have to grind the thin lip of the pot that holds the bearing in. Then they pop out with no probs. i would have thought they would have made these as a repo no considering lots of columns have that awful play up & down!!

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone has the Dulon paint code for the "medium gloss black" for the interior parts, ie: column cover lower dash etc thanks Mark

dont know about paint but how did you go with the steering column bearing you can buy a HT-HG indicator part that has a bearing in it but not sure if they are the same (brand new)

I ended up finding a half decent one out of another column so hopefully that will do the trick. Thanks for the info anyway.
