Mandarin Red Ute

Just thought would post a few pics of the resto of our HX Sandman ute.

Hmmmm, looking good! My ute (HJ) had copped a small boof in the side around the filler neck area that I am about to try and tease back out a bit more so that I can get rid of an area of about a square foot of around 6-8mm of bog that has been there since the early '80's. Out of interest, what colour are you going to go inside the tub area?

looking forward to seeing her finished, mine was on the road about 3 years ago mandarine HX m21 L31, got it from tazzie. i panel/painted,new interior,mild 308 , 355 sals LSD and supra 5 speed. real nice cruiser

Today our ute was painted, Because Adam took out one of the inner guards to repair rust on the outer guard, we decided to take both out and paint them black, as the whole engine bay was Orange, and looked hideous, this has made it look heaps better. I decided to stay and watch the paint go on, the Mandarin red is very Orange, and looks awesome on...will post more pics when its ready on Monday morning to collect.

Dave I know it is supposed to be the same colour as the ute but we are going to put a grey flex type colour in the back
