The jack sits on its side in the cavity behind the passengers seat, the wheel brace which was shaped in a right angle with a flat tip on one end had clips above the jack to hold it. The jack handle folded in half and sat beside the passengers seat.
The spare wheel winch on the late sandmans with the N67 wheels would have had a different bisso that went on the end of the cable to lift the wheel also. It shows this in the WB manual supplement.

There you go.Thanks for that. :D
I always thought it sat upright, behind the drivers seat.
So the handle was visible when opening the door?

I also thought the same (upright) and that how it stored in the ute.
Look like i'll have to chase up another jack, nothing at our local wreckers, ebay for me ( I guess a sticker also).
Thanks to everyone, for their help.

    G'day Fellas,
A little bit off the subject, but did Sandmans have 5 GTS rims or was the spare just a normal rim from the factory?

    Cheers,
    Glenn.

My car has 5 ... but thats now ... I don't know what was original though, I'd expect they came with 5 matching rims.
