    Paint/powder coating etc

Has anyone gone down the path of painting or powder coating things like bonnet hinges/catches etc was thinking black along with windscreen wipers and windscreen surrounds, I know its not an original type thing but just to weigh up the pros and cons rather than the standard look with the bonnet hinges/catch.

ive got my bonnet hinges off being chrome powder coated, would have had them chromed excepte the chromer wanted to remove the rivits and replace them with bolts, and i wasnt keen on that, for $150/pair but no springs, getting them chromed, they said chrome powder coat was twice(could have been more?) as expensive as normal, so about half the price for the regualr i spose

There is a guy getting around swap meets that will sell you a fully recoed set of bonnet hinges for $100. His name is Greg Thackray. I bought a HJ pair and HK pair off him at Warwick Monaro Nationals last September. They are done basically as per original. I bought a fully recoed HJ sedan jack as well.

    His email is gregthackrayimports@hotmail.com
