They are actually easier to do IN a car than on a diff laying on the ground!
I should have taken a pic when i pulled my gears.
If you clamp the yoke with a sash cramp it makes it incredibly easy to undo the nut with the huge amounts of leverage you then get.
A sash clamp is its a big clamp used when clamping table tops together.
