    Rejuvinate your door cards!

The door cards on my HZ ute are pretty good aside from the fact they have the wood wobbles... you know the buckles they get from being wet and then drying out hundreds of times over 30+ years?

So it seemed pretty logical to me to take them off the door, drench them with water and then put some concrete slabs on them to iron out the wobbles. they take a while to dry out but finish up perfectly flat.

Also a mate of mine gave his saddle tan trims in his kinga a quick flick of base coat (hes a painter) to sort out some fading dramas he had with his. They came out looking close to repro (he even redid the chrome part with chrome pin tape)

I know this might not be something you'd do with a ground up rebuilt but might suit a tidy up for a daily or budget build

That's good advice, and does work. When I did it I didn't really drench them, just used a spray bottle and repeated several times over 10 minutes after it soaked in. Took the weight off (I used timber with bricks on top) after about 2 days and they were dry and straight.
