    is this hx sandman the real deal !

    hi guys im from adelaide and have been looking for a replica for ages and a nice one finally came up in tasmania so i flew down there and snapped it up, on the drive home when i was at a caravan park some nice guys that seemed to know alot about these cars came and told me it was the real deal and i stole it off the old guy ! just wondering if someone could confirm it for me , cheers guys

    sorry but it is a Kingswood therefore not a sandman....its a kingswood because of the n in HX8wn70... Good find though Davo and welcome to the forum

    As above, a normal HX Kingswood van and not a Sandman.

    Still a factory V8 2 seater van though which is a good base for a replica. Better than a replica made from a povo pack 6 cylinder 3 speed crash box 3 seater.

    At least it will have the floor shift hole, probably console mounts and full length headlining brackets.

    Hi saw that last week spoke to him, he wouldn't come down to my offer for it. Nice van after you fix the rust patches and paint good to see it went to a good home

    HX and HZ XU3 & XX7 are basically Kingswood luxury level in brightwork and trim (the only reason they weren't Kingswoods was the side strips were in the way of the decals) hence if the Kingswood got it, XU3 & XX7 did too.
