Local Content?

I own an 07 VZ Commodore ute which I bought new. A couple of month's back I had to replace a rear tail light, which I bought original, and it's made in Korea. The air con compressor is made in Korea, how much of the local ford and holden is made in Australia now? Is there still a local content percentage built into the Australian car market these day's?

Almost all of VE is built in Korea. The last Aussie Holden was a VZ. The whole cottage industry that supplied to Hodlen basically shut down after VZ.

I bought a dirt bike made in Austria. Closest I could get to Australian made.

Mitsubishi 380 was built in australia when they made them, i thought there was a few of the smaller holdens still made in australia, the real little ones??

VE is made (assembled) here, just not fabricated.

Made in Australia and Assembled in Australia from cheap imported parts are 2 very different things.
