Bloody oath. Straight panel cuts from a windowless van should net you a pretty good amount on ebay. Even better if there's no rust in the joins.

As for the original question, windowless all the way. Blind spots, who cares? If in doubt plant your right foot before merging. I pretty much learnt all my on-road driving in a windowless Sandman. Had been driving on the farm for ages but my first experiences with traffic were in the van.

my first van was windowless and i had it for 15 years, but back then it was my daily driver so i wasnt driving anything else so i learnt to live with the blind spots. i prefer windowless but i also think bubble windows look cool so if i bought a van with windows i wouldnt fill them .

Agro and I recently spoke about windows, there great to have I think keeps a Van staright, owning Wally with windows helped but driving a ute now with gear on back and not having any vision I wouldnt ont that in a mint restored van, cause its a right pain in arse, but I do much prefer looking at a clean side of a van

As for value regardless of sandmans or similar vintage classics, windowless are always more sort after and higher prices paid

oh i found a windowless yesterday and sides are perfect for filling in a van, sadly its been molested had rear wheel 1/4 cut out of it, but sides are perfect actually make a good trailer

Windowless look hot ,beauty is in the eyes of the beholder with, the yellow van I was only looking at windowless vans, with the red it came with windows so I didn't mine untill my panel beater said did I want him to fill in the windows my reply was if we could get it straight and make it look as straight on the inside as the outside then let's go

Now the red van is painted the madeira red looks so good and especially on the large side panels and that been said I can't wait to get the blackout done and strips on to brake and frame colour

Also my oringinal HZ was a windowless sandman an even then at the car yard I fell for windowless

Even look at my avid tar picture yellow windowless, red windows both before restorations ,the proof is in the pudding

I don't mind the full length windows in my van, but as most have said, I prefer the windowless look.

The windows do make it easier to merge though.

Oh and BTW if anyone wants a set of genuine factory windows for a panel van, we have a set to sell, or give to someone who really wants them.

    Cheers

i think the whole windowless thing is prefered becuse it's harder to get one
I do like windowless but think the big panels are screaming for murals

i have had both and actually prefer windows for daily driving
I think the bubble windows really add character. I always liked the windows o Mid Summer Deam, Checkmate and XX-308

Personally i would put bubble windows right round the back but since i do tinting i need to keep it flat glass
