HX Sales Tape circa 1976 including HX Sandman

Here are some pics of an old George Patterson sales tape that I picked up a while ago.... George Patterson Pty Ltd did a lot of
Holdens advertising ie radio, TV ads and a range of Sales tapes that went to the dealers..

I know have 2 of these HX Commercial range tapes and would like to know if anyone knows someone who can transfer this
format into a digital format

any help would be greatly appreciated

cheers
Al

HK1837; I made some calls after we chatted. It is a Super 8 film and sound cartridge. Any photo lab that converts film to digital will be able to convert it to dvd.

That's what a place in Sydney told me late yesterday. Just waiting on a price. Not sure what they'll charge, and have to have permission from copyright holder. If all goes well, and Al is happy to do it they may be all on DVD or possibly on a hard disc in AVI format. Being 8mm they quality won't be all that great (like less than VGA), but would make for great PC screen viewing. Original 35mm format (Cinema quality) is what you want, but I have a friend who has most of them on 16mm (broadcast quality) but also on analogue tape.

It all depends on how much it costs.... I might be interested in doing a few but doing them all might be a waste of money

I guess most of the cost would be for them to setup to capture the video... prob cheaper for the lot per tape.

The GMH-Torana lot would be interested in some.

don't forget that GM-H had a nasty archives fire in the last couple of years, and they lost alot of valuable info....any chance of seein if there is any mention of aztec trim on one of those tapes?
