hi guys i have came across this van which im told is a genuine hz sandy L31 with original motor and chassis, i am still waiting for an email with the tag info but it looks to have all original interior and full hoodlining aswell as black door handles and so forth,has some rust but i think will make a good project as its been offered to me for only $4500, i need some opinions on if it looks to be a genuine sandman, will post some pics of the tags as soon as i get photos cheers

Nice find, but it also looks like a Kingswood. Wait till you get the Id plates for better info :smile:
yeah there is a few things i am doubting at the moment! is the rear bumper a standard kingswood bumper and also the door trims look like kingswood aswell
You just cannot tell from an exterior walk around. To know if it is a Sandman, you have to get the ID plates at the very least.
Get a photo of them rather than the guy sending you an email, chasis number will also confirm if it is original body/chasis.

As Blocker say's the tag info will tell a lot more... If the steering colomn and indicator stalk are original the the car than it is not a Kingswood.... the rear bar is a modification and is off a sedan or wagon.... looking at the pics there is a good chance it is a Sandman and not bad buying at the price.... pity about the sunroof but that can be fixed...
