I've just done a deal to sell my factory v8 2 seat WB Kingswood ute to a mate (with a very tidy original interior). I could see if he's sentimentally attached to the seats. I know he's planning on ditching the WB front end for an earlier one so he may not care about the WB specific stuff inside if it changes the price.

If you found WB runners how come the seats were not with them? Or are they statesman runners?
Yeah, they are statesman runners... Just put onto VH dunnydore seats...

I think there is currently 2 x Kingswood pairs up on the mezzanine, although from memory I used the runners off one pair on VH Calais seats that I put in the Overlander before I sold it. When you compare Commodore and WB runners side by side it isn't that hard to modify them to be the same, just needs a tab welded on each end from memory, and when you do it make the tabs a bit wider on the tunnel side runner so you can capture the factory HQ-HZ floor nuts.
Yeah, thats what I'm doing... I am either going to get a set of statesman runners or modify the VH runners to look like original WB runners...
    Cheers,
    Matt

Are the WB statesman runners the same as the commercial ones? Is the drivers height adjustment removable?

I have no idea... Maybe that is a question for HK1837 to answer... I wasn't really concerned about it because my ute was never gonna be restored to factory..

The seat itself is pretty much exactly the same, but the runners are different.. I think the mounting points on the WB ones are further apart in length and a little bit in width... The Commy ones are also higher if that makes sense..

LH side on both seats is the same for Holden, Kingswood, Deville and Caprice if the (Statesman) seat has no vertical adjusment. RH side is different for some reason. I suspect it is simply the adjuster handle and the Statesman sets are the same, so the Statesman runners should fit onto early Commodore buckets. Note, Commodore back is the same, cushion differs. I'm not sure if the Statesman lifting style runner assembly fits early Commodore seats. I know I pulled the lifting style off a pair of Calais seats and the standard WB runners fitted on the seats so in theory it should all work the other way.

Commodore runners are the same as WB, WB just have outriggers to meet up with the floor holes. You can weld these on yourself, factory are rivetted.
