Threw the dog in the back of the van and cruised back to hometown (Grenfell NSW) for the free BBQ and never ending speeches off the old band-stand in the park. Driving back home in the drizzle I long-range spotted a lime green HX Panno coming the other way. Prepped myself, gave him a big wave as he rumbled by. No one finger lift, no nod, nothin'! Watched him in the rear viewer sending him dirtys under my breath, when after about 100 meters he's slowly drifting off the road, followed by a quick correction and brake lights before continuing back on the straight and narrow. Funny thing was, I had nearly done the same off-road stunt by the time I refocused on the road in front. He probably wasn't paying much attention until we had passed and done the 'oh, Panno!'... Apologies If it was anyone on here. Despite the rain it's always good to spend the Ozday wind-down in the shed with Triple J hottest 100 cranked, even if I am only recognizing only 1 song in 3.

At Berrima there is usually a day of old cars and tractors and over-charging market stalls, so I thought about rolling the van out, donning the mullet wig and adorning the van with flags and heading over there to menace the crowds. The whole family decided they wanted to come, so instead we uncovered and rolled out the EK for a run instead. Was great until the rain started, on the way home we had more water coming in than what was falling, largely due to the primitive demister design(1/4 windows opened to face the windscreen). It was also a good opportunity to discover which body seals require urgent attention too. I was kinda glad I didn't get the van out, since the wiper motor is snafu and the A/C is inoperative. Save to mention it's propensity to slip and slide about in the wet. Either way, we all had fun.
